Summary:碩士 === 高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 98 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship factor between filial role perception and filial role conduct of the fifth and sixth grade elementary school students. The questionnaire was adopted and 660 subjects came from 30 classes of 15 elementary schools located in Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung County. The subjects including 315 boys and 345 girls. The instruments of the study were “Filial Role Perception and Filial Role Conduct Scale” and “Parenting Style Scale”. The data were collected and analyzed by using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, paired samples t-test, Pearson’s Product-Moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The main fingings are summarized as follows: 1. The filial role perception of the 5th and 6th graders was generally good, the best was independence, but it was relatively bad that show consideration for parents. 2. The filial role conducts was above average level. Independence and response to parents' love are the best, but showing consideration for parents is the worse. 3. Most children thought that parental demandingness was more than responsiveness. Children perceived more “authoritative” parenting style, and less “indulgent” parenting style. 4. There were slightly or moderate positive correlation between the 5th and 6th graders' filial role perception and filial role conduct. Moreover, their graders' filial role perception was higher than the filial role conduct. 5. There were significant differences on filial role perception in terms of the 5th and 6th graders' background variables. The 5th graders, girls, students who' s school is situated in the city, and students who spent 6-10 hours in after-school activities every week, they had more filial role perception. 6. There were significant differences on filial role conduct in terms of the 5th and 6th graders' background variables. The 5th graders, girls, students who came from nuclear family, students who spent 6-15 hours in after-school activities every week, students who’s school was situated in the city, and students who' s parents' education were above college, they performed well in filial role conduct. 7. Students who think mother was “indulgent”consisted mostly of males. On the other hand, Students who think mother was “authoritative” consisted mostly of females. Besides, Parents with low education hada inclination to neglect. 8. Students with different parenting style possessed significantly different in filial role perception. Relatively, “authoritative ” was the best, and “neglecting” was the worse. 9. Students with different parenting style possessed significantly different in filial role conduct. In particular, “authoritative ” was the best, “neglecting” was the worse, and students with indulgent father showing more consideration for parents than those who with authoritarian father. 10. The filial role perception and parenting style had remarkable prediction on filial role conduct. In particular, the “authoritative” parenting style and respectful attitude were good predictors. Moreover, every dimension of filial role perception predicted most filial role conduct.
