碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 技職教育與人力資源發展研究所 === 97 === Abstract
Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (OCBs) are a type of work behavior that are defined as individual behaviors that are beneficial to the organization and are discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system. These behaviors are rather a matter of personal choice, such that their omission are not generally understood as punishable. OCBs are thought to have an important impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of work teams and organizations, therefore contributing to the overall productivity of the organization.
This study examined the contribution of the psychological contract framework using survey data gathered over a two year period from Southern Taiwan Science Park Administration(”the organization”), a public sector employer.
Separating perceived contract breach into its two components, the data suggest that perceived ”the organization” obligations explained unique variance in five dimensions belonging to OCBs: Altruism, Courtesy, Civic Virtue, Conscientiousness and Sportsmanship.
1.Courtesy: Take steps to try to prevent problems with ”the organization” . Does not abuse the rights of the employees over ”the organization” .
2.Civic Virtue: Attends meetings that are not mandatory, but considered important. Some related relationship among the employees, organization factors and OCBs are found and showed some effects to the OCB.
3.Conscientiousness: Does not take extra breaks. Obey company rules and regulations even when no one is watching.
4.Sportsmanship: Does not consume a lot of time complaining about trivial matters. Focuses on the positive side rather than what’s wrong.
