碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === Abstract
In the course of making comparisons from actual practice of experimental teaching is the traditional style of lecturing teaching, this research exams the influences and effects of applying “eurhythmics” as a supplementary material for music class in order to facilitate general student’s learning interest in elementary schools of Taiwan.
The main purposes of this research are as follow:
I. To understand the relationships between the behavior development and learning interest for the general fourth graders students in elementary schools of Taiwan.
II. To design a middle-level music class teaching model adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” and also incorporating domestic references as well as worldwide.
III. To investigate the influences of “eurhythmics” toward student’s learning interest in fourth graders elementary music class.
IV. To make further suggestions according to the result of this research in order to facilitate the practice for music class in adopting “eurhythmics as a supplementary teaching material.”
The quasi-experimental design was adopted in this research. The subjects of this research were evaluated by “the music class learning interest and attitude scale.” The subjects were randomly sampled from the classes of fourth graders in Beisin Elementary School. One class was assigned as the experimental group and the other the control group. The experimental group received an eight-week program with two sessions per week, each session lasted for forty minutes; while the control group had exposed to traditional lecturing-style learning environment with the same frequency. The majoy findings are as follow:
I. The learning interest of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” is higher than that of students in the control group. The difference is significant.
i. The learning interest of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” is higher than that of students in the control group. And the learning performance and class atmosphere of students in the former group is also better than that of students in the latter one. The differences are significant.
ii. The learning attitude of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” is superior to that of students in the control group. The difference is not obvious.
II. The learning interest of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” improves. But the improvement is not obvious.
The researcher divides the “music class learning interest and attitude scale”, the research tool, into four dimensions, and uses them to analyze the result:
i. The learning attitude of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” regresses. But the regression is not obvious.
ii. The learning performance of students in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” improves significantly.
III. The learning interest of girls in the experimental group adopting “eurhythmics as the supplementary material” is higher than that of boys in the same group. And the learning performance and class atmosphere of girls is also better than that of boys. The differences are significant.
IV. The experiences in extracurricular activities and musical instruments do not influence the learning interest of the experimental group.
Based on the result of this research, a new model for the elementary school musical program is suggested. It is an intent of this research to utilize this data for musical teachers and the references for further researchers.
