This study was conducted by using a one-group pretest-posttest experiment design and lasted 6 weeks long. The students involved were nine elementary school students with moderate and severe mental retardation, who were instructed of interactive whiteboard. A pretest, posttest, and a retention test were administered to the students before, after, and three weeks after the instruction. t-test was used to analyze the distinguishes between each type correctness percent, and the analysis of convariance was used to compare the exaltation and maintain effect upon the experimental group on the amount corresponding, capacity compare, classification and pair. And the results indicate as below: 1. The interactive whiteboard instruction was successful in increasing the scores on the functional mathematical test for the students with moderate and severe mental retardation. 2. The interactive whiteboard instruction was successful in increasing the scores on the functional mathematical test for the students with moderate and severe mental retardation was maintained. 3. For the students with moderate and severe mental retardation, the interactive whiteboard instruction could cause positive attitude toward functional mathematical learning.
