The instruments used including“English Learning Strategy Scale”and“English Learning Self-Efficacy Scale”,The data analyzed by descriptive statistics,t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson's product correlation and multiple regression analysis.After analyzing the data,the conclusions of this study were as follows: 1.The English learning strategies of elementary school hige grade students were below average. 2. The English learning self-efficacy of elementary school hige grade students were below average. 3. English learning strategies differed significantly according to student's different backgrounds. 4. English learning self-efficacy differed significantly according to student's different backgrounds. 5.The English learning strategies and English learning self-efficacy of elementary school hige grade students had positive relation. 6. The English learning strategies of elementary school hige grade students may act as a reference in predicting their English learning self-efficacy. According to these conclusions,some suggestions for educational guidance were proposed.Moreover,recommendations for further studies were offered in this dissertation.
