The research method was used with positive behavior support on the basis of functional assessment as independent variable, and the percentage of the off -task and positive behavior as dependent variable. According to the functional assessment, the researcher analyzed the function of off-task behavior and designed positive behavior support through direct observation, functional analysis and interview with parents. The researcher designed a counting chart to record the frequency of off-task and positive behavior. Then, the researcher calculated the percentage of the target behavior and the data were displayed as visual analysis to examine the effects of this study.
The results of this study was indicated as follows:
1. The functional assessment could point out the functions of the off-task behaviors.
2. The positive behavioral support on the basis of functional assessment could effectively reduce off-task behaviors.
3. The positive behavioral support on the basis of functional assessment could effectively increase positive behaviors.
