By using choice experiment of random utility theory from Hanemann(1984), designing the questionnaire content. Every product had three kinds of attributes, producer attribute, consumer attribute and price. Multinomial logit model was used to estimate the coefficient of each attribute. It found that WTP of GM tomato was $58.70 for 600g. The WTP was higher than average price. As a result, three conclusions were brought out from this study: 1. the attribute which would benefit the consumer could raise WTP. 2. the consumer who possessed special socio-economic factor had higher WTP. 3. the market acceptability of plant genetically modified food was higher than that of animals genetically modified food. According to three conclusions, this study also had three suggestions for the relevant authorities and research. First, scientists should develop the GM food which could directly benefit the consumer. Second, market assessments should be done before developing the GM food.
