Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士班 === 97 === This study attempts to explore the process and the content on the teacher professional growth of two power teachers at secondary school. They stand out in the nationwide “Power Teacher Campaign.” They win first place in the campaign. Both of them are outstanding. This study tries to get the necessary data through the interviews and participant observation. The researcher analyzes the relative documents and the interviewers’ narration to explore the processes of professional growth and promoting factors of the power teachers. The findings of the study are summarized as follows:
1.The power teachers have the belief to be good teachers.
2.The power teachers are enthusiastic, humble and active.
3.The power teachers have the strong motivation. They have developed the abilities of critical thinking and self-reflective judgment.
4.The power teachers can actively construct the professional knowledge and competence.
5.The power teachers can actively construct their own teaching styles.
6.The power teachers get a lot of support in their novice teacher stage.
7.The interaction of individual factors and the environment influence the power teachers, stimulating their professional growth.
Based on the above-mentioned findings, the suggestions are proposed for the other teachers, the education institutions and the further study.
