Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部暑期幼兒教育碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this action study was to assess the effect of story teaching on prosocial behavior in young children.The research target is 29 children attending a kindergarten that is an attached institution of an elementary school in Kaohsiung. According to the review of technical literature, the study summarized some goals and contents of prosocial behavior at kindergarten level. I selected 9 picture books to create classroom activities, based on the concept of helping, sharing and cooperation.The process was observed, recorded and documented to collect data. Through coding documents and journal keeping, according to the goal and analysis of the research, discussions with my professor I came to the following conclusions: 1. The analysis of the process of story teaching: In accordance with my educational belief I discovered this problem and decided to use it as my subject of research, collected data and technical literature, selected the picture books and created activities.
