Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 科技管理學系(所) === 96 === The main purpose of this study is to improve the output of drum kits for a Jazz drum factory, and focuses on the labor assignment problem in the Jazz drum shell construction workstation. This workstation has many machines and only one operator. And this operator must decide when to sever which machine. Therefore, the decision of this operator will determine the output of a Jazz drum factory in this workstation. Because, this is a typical problem of Dual Resource Constraints system with two assignment issues which are (1) where to move rule and (2) when to move rule. Jazz drum factory can’t improve its output of drum kits with the current assignment rule which does not consider the drum kits of demand efficiency of different machine. This research uses the concept of Theory of Constraints (TOC) to develop assignment model with the bottleneck priority to improve the output of drum kits. Three assignment rules are proposed:(1) Bottleneck priority assignment rule, (2) Bottleneck Look-Ahead priority assignment rule and (3) Fix Cycle time Bottleneck priority assignment rule. Factorial experiment is utilized to analyze the improvement effects of these three assignment rules. The final results show that the assignment model considering the bottleneck priority can full utilize the capacity of bottleneck machine, and improve drum kits output for a Jazz drum factory.
