The understanding of historical monuments can be a key component of the Nine-Year integrated curriculum. The purpose of this study is to examine the education of historical monument in the primary school setting. We performed a literature analysis on “local education” and ”education of historical monuments” initially, then collected educational resources of the Dalongdong Baoan Temple and Taipei Confucius Temple by field method. Using this data, we analyzed what resources could be used to achieve the competence indicators, and compartmentalized the educational resources into the first, second, and third learning stage.
