This study uses qualitative approaches to explore the parental involvement of a couple who have two daughters with multiple disabilities. Data pertinent to parental involvement are collected and analyzed by using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Research findings indicate that the participation of this couple encompasses their daughters’ daily life, schooling, and medical cares. Two main factors are found to affect their participation: “family pressure” and “religious belief.” Before coming into contact with Christian faith, they suffered severe internal and external stress as involving in their daughters’ education. After becoming Christians, they reconsidered the meaning and values of life and wholeheartedly accepted their daughters. In one mind and one accord they act, they further launched a parents support group. Finally, this study proposes suggestions for parents and future studies concerning children with multiple disabilities.
