Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 科學教育研究所 === 94 === By the perspectives from cognition and meta-cognition, the correlation between each member’s problem solving behavior and the inter member cooperation models were analyzed. The effect of the number of members in a group on the cooperative characteristics of the group problem solving was also examined. The sample, consisting of nine grade nine female students, was divided into group of two, three, and four. Qualitative methodology was adopted with the use of thinking-aloud. The findings are: 1. Not only the cognitive but also the meta-cognitive levels of a solver’s problem solving behavior are all having positive effect on a successful problem solving. 2. The rule played by the leader of the group problem solving is interlaced from the cognitive level and the meta-cognitive level of the problem solving behavior. 3. The total of the cognitive level and the meta-cognitive level of the problem solving behaviors will drop to the minimum level when the obstruction occurred in the course of the problem solving. 4. With homogeneity in a group, the ideal number of the member is three. 5. The number of the group members and the efficiency of the problem solving are not correlated. 6. The number of the group members will affect the occurrence of the meta-cognition. 7. The types of the problem solving behaviors multiplied accordingly as the number of the group members increased. And it also showed that the increase of the types of the problem solving behaviors may not imply an increase of the efficiency of the problem solving.
