During the period of the research, the researcher tried to understand the peer interaction and peer relationship of Hsiou-Wan, who is a mental retardation student, by the approach of participant observation, interviews, sociometric techniques and document data to gather all information and use narrative analyses. The purpose of the research is to provide some information to teachers, parents and the people who are engaging in education. The results of the research have two ways. One is narrating story which the object of the research streams normal class to participate and learn the experience of peer interaction. The other is analyses discussion. The results of analyses are as followings: 1.From the beginning, Hsiou-Wan feared and resisted to participate when she was in the normal class. Then with the assistance of teachers and classmates, she became used to it and started participating learning. 2.Hsiou-Wan enjoyed having peer interaction with girls, not so tuff classmates, classmates who will play with and assist her. 3.The classmates of normal class welcomed and accepted Hsiou-Wan have class with them. The evaluations of Hsiou-Wan from the classmates were positive﹘nice, generous and laugh all the time. 4.Hsiou-Wan and the classmates of normal class can help and share and care each other. The more capable classmates like to help Hsiou-Wan participating learning activity without influence their own interests. 5.The peer sociometric status of Hsiou-Wan was ignoring in the normal class. Hsiou-Wan was accepted by the classmates but she could not become member of the subgroup. And she could not build up closer friendship with classmates. 林佩蓉 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 270 zh-TW
