Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 93 === This study aims to explore the current situation of teacher’s working values, teacher’s curriculum participation and teacher’s teaching effectiveness in junior high school in Kaohsiung County and City and to investigate the relationships among them.
The major purposes are as follows:
1.To understand the current situation of teacher’s working values, curriculum participation and teaching effectiveness.
2.To understand their differences on different backgrounds of the junior high school teachers.
3.Inquiring their relationships.
4.To investigate differences of teacher’s working values in curriculum participation and teaching effectiveness.
5.To understand the prediction effect of curriculum participation and teaching effectiveness from teacher’s working values.
In order to achieve these purposes, the researcher of this study applied literature review and questionnaires survey. The content of the tool adopted in this study, “Junior high school teacher’s working values and curriculum participation, teaching effectiveness questionnaire”, was composed of four parts: Personal information, working values degree, curriculum participation degree, and teaching effectiveness degree. The subjects of this investigation were the junior high school teachers in Kaohsiung County and City. The total valid returned questionnaires were 1153.
The data was analyzed with the statistical software SPSS for Windows of version 10.0 in Chinese and through the methods of means, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Sheffes’ method, one-way multi-analysis of variance, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
Through the above discrete and detailed research design and practice, the main findings of this study are as follows:
1.The degrees of the current situation of teacher’s working values, curriculum participation and teaching effectiveness are all above the average.
2.Different personal variables have differences in the working values, curriculum participation among the junior high school teachers.
3.Teacher’s working values have great positive correlation with teacher’s curriculum participation in junior high school. Next, teacher’s working values also have great positive correlation with teacher’s teaching effectiveness in junior high school. Last, teacher’s curriculum participation have great positive correlation with teacher’s teaching effectiveness in junior high school.
4.The differences of teacher’s working values in curriculum participation and teaching effectiveness are significantly great.
5.The working values of the teachers is powerful in predicting teacher’s curriculum participation in junior high school.
6.The working values of the teachers is powerful in predicting teacher’s teaching effectiveness in junior high school.
Finally, based upon the above main findings, the researcher’s concrete proposals are as follows, and hope that they can be helpful for others. According to the main findings mentioned above, 15 suggestions are offered concerning educational administration authorities, school administration, teacher, and further research.
