There are two main goals in this thesis. The first part is to explore the belief in ALCSD (Aboriginal Language Culture Sustainable Development), the need in promoting educational profession form Kaoshung & Pingtung Counties aborigine teachers, and compares the difference of variant backgrounds. Researcher used modified questionnaire to collect data form 202 teachers 38 elementary schools in aboriginal region,and the analysis strategies includes frequency, percentage, t-square, ANOVA. The second part is to explore the community’s attitude and opinions to government’s policy and school aboriginal language’s education with the data collected from semi-constructed quality strategy proceeding with 5 Bu-non tribe’s patriarch. The study organized major findings as following.
1.All express high-positive inclination in ALCSD and the need in promoting educational profession regardless different background (sex, seniority, tribes & region, experience).
2.There is not distinguished discrimination within different sex, experienced aboriginal teachers.
3.The study found discrimination in ALCSD and related subjects within different teaching years, tribes.
4.No distinguished discrimination in advancing educational profession within varied backgrounds.
Below are some conclusions assembled from qualitative data and related opinions:
1.Government, churches are the main information resource for aboriginal educational policy, and then public media, web.
2.Subjects aren’t all respecting the government’s policy.
3.Preferential examination system shouldn’t constrain by unfair proviso.
4.Aboriginal language educational policy must emphasize the respect for tribe’s community spirit and vision.
5.There isn’t conflict within Mandarin & Aboriginal Language Education.
6.Community expresses strong expectation of sustaining Aboriginal Language Education, and makes some improvements including teaching times, materials, profession….etc.
7.Related programs and materials must be realistic, funny, cross-discipline mode and emphasizes cultivation of linguistic literature including listening, reading…..
8.The main problems for ALCSD are deficiency on times, learning motivation, educational profession, learning burden, materials, educational system, so we must combine community, school and government’s effort to improve ALD.
According to the above conclusion, this thesis organizes some advices for the practical application to sustain development of ALCSD:
一、To government & related educational administrative organizations:
(一)Proceeding appropriate refresher course & workshop to promote aboriginal language educational profession literature.
(二)Executing ALCSD policy’s step by step.
二、To teacher-training organizations:
(一)Organizes ALCSD education research center.
(二)Designs systematic in-service courses.
(三)Promotes the ability to compile teaching-material.
(四)Increases child psychology courses.
三、To school’s administrative level:
(一)Activates related educational policy.
(二)Combines variant social education organizations.
