Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 青少年兒童福利學系 === 90 === Abstract The purpose of this research was to understand the challenges faced by the inclusive elementary school and the family and the strategies employed to respond these challenges. The subject of this research included a child with developmental delay who was included at a regular class of an elementary school in Taichung county, and the school staff as well as the child’s parents. The methods used were natural observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data was validated by triangulation and peer checking. The results were presented as (1)the effect of inclusion on school teachers, in which regular and resource teacher’ attitudes and belief toward inclusion were analyzed,(2)the challenges addressed by the parents, and(3)the strategies used by the school to promote inclusion. Categories were explored and described.
