Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育研究所 === 89 === Taking a sociolinguistics perspective, this study to: 1. Understand classroom discourse and activities in secondary supplemental school in Taiwan. 2. To construct the influential elements of the classroom discourse. In order to be open about the nature of teaching and learning, multiple data gathering methods are used to gain as comprehensive a record as possible of case study. Data were collected through classroom observations and interviews. In the study, ten times 120-minute and thirteen times 90 minute audio-taped classroom talk were analyzed and transcribed. The major findings are briefly stated as follows: 1.The teacher and the students lack the skills of ideal speech situation in the secondary supplemental school in Taiwan. 2.The students of the secondary supplemental school lack the training of oral language presentation. 3. The teacher and the students have an expression in the negative in teaching and learning. 4. There are many elemental influences the classroom discourse in secondary supplemental school in Taiwan.
