Base, Superstructure, Aesthetic Level: notes on a theory
This essay outlines in simpler terms (than before) a theory of the aesthetic level of practice, underpinning the Marxist theory of art, which is a part of the theory of social reproduction. It gives an example of an application of the theory to 1968. Refers to Althusser.
