The purpose of this article is to study the features of the evaluation component of the I-concept of children with attention deficit and hyperactivity syndrome (hereinafter referred to as ADHD). Methodology and approach. The article provides an analysis of researchers’ views on the peculiarities of formation and development of the evaluation component of the I-concept of personality, as well as an analysis of the views on the nature of ADHD as a behavioural disorder. Besides, an experiment aimed at identifying features of self-esteem and self-loss in children with ADHD is scrutinized. The main methods of research are: observation, comparison, interpretation of results and statistical analysis. Results. The empirical study revealed the specificity of the evaluation component of the I-concept of children with ADHD, which is expressed in inadequate low self-esteem in children with ADHD and low reflexivity. Theoretical and practical implications.
