These parameters: atmospheric air temperature and speed, the duration of cold and warm seasons and design parameters of cold units were determined experimentally in the north, center and south of the Republic of Moldova. The sum of temperatures inside and outside of the ice store are practically identical within 24 hours. Because of this, for the calculation of natural cold units parameters the exterior air temperature may be taken as equal to the inside temperature. Within the same climatic zone the duration of warm season and the sum of exterior air temperatures also depend on the site relief (altitude) and slope angle and vary within the limits of 10-13%. These parameters must be taken into account for more exact calculations of the length of use of natural cold units.
