Secession and the Reformed ('Dopper') Churches in South Africa
The marks of the true church, as described in art. 29 of the Belgic Confession are applied by Calvin to the visible local congregation. During the Reformation local ministries were reformed in order to correspond to the marks of the true church of Jesus Christ.
