Summary: | The main aim of this research was to answer this question whether the course reading lists in online syllabuses can be used as a valuable source for research evaluation. The Research population included 8043 citations from 350 online syllabuses from departments of library and information science in the United State during 2000-2009.The results of correlation tests showed that there were significant and direct relationships between Scopus, ISI (WOS), Google Scholar and Google Book citations at article journals and books levels. The results indicated that the methodology applied in this study can be used as a new and applied approach to access the impact of research on education. |
