Description
Summary:To evaluate the application of a motor intervention program in scho - olchildren with signs of Developmental Coordination Disorder. Methods: The participants, fourteen schoolchildren aged between 10 and 11 years, were divi - ded into an experimental group and a control group. The Movement Assessment Battery for Children – Second Edition (MABC-2) was used to evaluate motor de - velopment. The interventions occurred over a period of 12 weeks, and sessions took place three times a week for periods of 45 minutes each. Data analysis was carried out using the nonparametric Wilcoxon Test, with the level of significance set at p <0.05. Results: A comparison between groups showed significant diffe - rence in the total scores on MABC-2, with significant improvements in the ex - perimental group. Conclusion: It was evident that the students had significant improvements in motor skills at the conclusion of the program, confirming the hypothesis that interventions improve the motor development of children with DCD.
