Summary: | The aim of this text is to analyze historically how was the migration from the engineer to the licensed professor of mathematics in Brazil. It will be shown that the appropriation of renovation ideas of mathematics teaching, elaborated since the beginning of XX century, in Europe and in the United States, opens a public discussion about the mathematics teacher¿s formation. Using school files as sources, the text intends to offer support for the History of the Brazilian Mathematics teachers professionalization. |
