FOSILES DE LA FORMACION EL RETAMO (CARBONIFERO), SIERRA DE BARREAL, PROVINCIA DE SAN JUAN, ARGENTINA
In the northwestern part of the Sierra de Barreal, at San Juan Province, a deltaic facies of the El Retamo Formation contains remains of plants and invertebrates. The plant fossils fall within the range of the NBG zone of late Carboniferous age.
