We are rich, but it might not come cheap: Intersections between the recent evolution of the international monetary system and the current prominence of the BRICs

The recent U.S. macroeconomic adjustments might overthrow the current configuration of the international monetary system that provided  conditions for emerging countries, like the BRIC's, for performing political, economic and military influence in third States.
