Summary: | This paper sets out to describe an experiment in a specific context - an Italian Scientific High School - adopting a task-based learning and teaching approach in French classes. The chosen research methodology is that of action research (JP Narcy-Combes, 2005). During the sessions, participants performed tasks related to the scientific and medical fields with the aim of providing them with opportunities to appropriate the actions and discourse belonging to the professions. The approach involved the use of ICT. The results of an investigation will be presented first, then the fieldwork will be described. Finally, the results of the experiment will be highlighted. They pave the way for recommendations on new classroom practices and new pedagogical reflections.
