Description
Summary:
The paper presents a brief analysis of the Brazilian experiences of institutional evaluation of higher education, characterizes the current policy implemented in the universities, indicating links or contrasts with previous experiences and makes a critical assessment of the implementation of this policy. From a theoretical and documentary perspective, it characterizes the evaluation models outlined or implemented throughout the eighties and nineties of the last century and analyzes the theoretical, legal and technical-operational bases of the model in force. Finally, it analyzes the current model in relation to its theoretical and methodological foundations, autonomy and external regulation, participation of the academic community, student participation in the evaluation and impact of higher education on alumni.
