In order to understand how this concept has been studied on high school by science education researchers, a detailed literature review was conducted based in the national and international journals of education and in the last issues of ENPEC and EPEF meetings. As a result, a large overview allows understanding how the area faces the interdisciplinarity problem, which is defended by all the 112 papers analyzed.
