Description
Summary:This paper examines research carried out in East London, UK (Bhopal, 1997). I have re-visited my data and attempted to provide a new analysis on the concept of patriarchy. This is also related to women's experiences of culture and history, which influence the degrees and forms of patriarchy experienced by South Asian women in society.
