His concerns with Palaeolithic art, the chronological and technological development of artefacts set the research agenda for much of twentieth-century Palaeolithic archaeology. Evolutionary processes were discussed more as Lamarckian than Darwinian in Breuil's work, and this was a direct result of his intellectual heritage. | ||
