| Summary: | The purpose of the current review was to examine the effectiveness of college- or university sexual assault prevention programs. Further, the current paper reviews prevalence rates, factors that may contribute to the high rates of sexual assault on college- or university campuses. The paper also explores colleges- and universities’ efforts to increase men’s participation in sexual assault prevention programs as well as recommendations for further improvement. Sexual assault continues to be a problem on college campuses. Although colleges- and universities have recently implemented new prevention programs and strategies, there continues to be a need for change on college- and universities campuses to reduce sexual assaults, victimizations, and perpetration. There also needs to be more evaluation of the current programs in order to determine their effectiveness. |
