This report will give the reader an overview of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts and the International Istanbul Biennial, which is one of the five international events that the foundation organizes on a regular basis. It also includes an explanation of my duties and experiences as an intern at this organization from May through August 1997. A critique of the organization is followed by recommendations. Finally, there is a section on my contributions to the organization, as well as the internship's contribution to my professional development.
