Summary: | The problem of this study was to investigate the degree to which moral values are· included in the educational program of engineering students at selected California public community colleges. The study also attempted to determine to what degree an increased emphasis on the teaching of moral values would be beneficial to engineering students, as well as others.
A review was made of articles and books on the subject of values. Particular attention was given to material which specifically referred to technology and its relation to values.
Two similarly designed questionnaires were sent out· to students and instructors in engineering education at the junior colleges in California. The data were summarized and analyzed. |
