Summary: | This diploma paper deals with the genesis and history of trombone
departments at Czech faculties of music: Janáček Academy of Music Arts in
Brno and Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. It aims to compose
a mosaic of trombone academic sphere in both schools: There is an
introduction of every trombone teacher done by a short profile about their
life and work. This is outlined in a chronological sequence from the
beginning until present. Moreover, the work shows, through examples from
private correspondence, the co-operation between two trombone teachers
Lubomír Klučar from JAMU and Miloslav Hejda from AMU, who, in other
words, thus represent "Brno" and "Prague" trombone classes and their
relationship. At the end, there are complete lists of alumnus from both
JAMU and AMU.
