| Summary: | This magister thesis proposes the presentation of the Czech cellist, pedagogue, music-literature writer, the cello playing propagator and music organizer - Bohus Heran ( 1907 - 1968). Beside Heran´s childhood, time of his studies, the first orchestral contracts, his greatly rich solo concert activities in Czech lands and abroad too, working as a professor at The Prague Conservatory and beeing the academic Prorector of The Janacek ´s Academy of Performing Artz in Brno, this essay is engagend in Heran´s publushing and music-organizating activity as well as his supporting of young musicians. Finally, it is corcerned with the private aspects of Heran´s personality and his holiday in Police nad Metují.
