It maps different types of working in different types of drama and it focuses on the Literary-Dramatic Department of the Basic School of Arts where the esthetic and artistic influence on children is an inevitable part of the educational process. One of the ways to reach the dramatic and esthetic goals is the education through acting. As the methodological basis of children´s acting is generally considered the Stanislavski´s system respecting the specifics of children development. The thesis presents Michael Chekhov´s techniques, developing the Stanislavski´s system, and the Jerzy Grotowski´s techniques as the possibilities of acting methodology and as an inspiration when working with children on the development of their acting skills. Finally, the Václav Martinec´s acting methodology is mentioned as a possible eclectic approach of acting education. Akademie múzických umění v Praze. Divadelní fakulta AMU.
