The first part of the thesis informs about a period, which influnced writers born after the year 1930; outlines formation of the "boom" and "post boom" phenomenon. In the second part there is introduced the writer Mario Vargas Llosa not only as a successful writer of novels but also in other aspects of his works. The third part of the thesis concerns the procedures and narrative theories of Vargas Llosa. A part of this whole is also an effort to outline the connection between post-modernism and reality and fiction. In the fourth part I pursue an analysis of narrative perspective of the novel Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter. The thesis is closed by a consideration about art and kitsch in the connection with the mentioned novel.
