This thesis deals with innovation processes in public administration in Czechia using application knowledge bases concept. The aim of this work is to underpin the nature of innovation processes, shed light on importance of innovation and define specifics of innovation processes in public administration. Three case studies from various fields of public administration were chosen. Based on interviews with persons involved aspects of differentiated knowledge bases were concerned. The results of the survey points out use of the interactive model of innovation proces, importance of tacit knowledges, significant role of informal links, networks of contacts and cooperation with partners for exchange and sharing of knowledge and experiences.
