Description
Summary:: A criticism of positivism, surcivilisation, in which Patočka does not return on the success of the reason, this way leads to a hierarchy of the peoples, a real impasse which feeds the rejection of other one, such is the attractive approach of this Czech thinker. For him it is to te degree of the freedom that it is necessary to determine a free life in the truth. This free life of Europe that does not means at Patocka a geographical region or a historic and cultural community. « Europe » is the name wich according to particular place, indicates a life in the problematicity, that of the man which gets loose from accepted and given sense, when he fits into history. While establishing history as the foundation of the identity which Patočka allows to reconcile the thinking humanities through the responsability to which the freedom opens. The free life always has to be made, it needs as such to break at first, the to make a commitment to become historic.this life needs to restore two modes to be ; the appearence and de retreat, which are linked betwen them in narrowest way.
