Summary: | This MA thesis deals with the issue of bilingual education of Czech/Slovak - German children in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and German-speaking countries. The initial assumption is that intercultural education stresses the importance of the role mother and second language and supports bilingual education. The goal of this MA thesis is to conduct research on the issue, which at the time of globalization and free movement of persons within the EU has growing practical potential. Preliminary studies based on information available in foreignlanguage literature intend to analyse factors contributing to language acquisition / learning and those influencing psychosocial and cognitive development of children. In the qualitative and quantitative research we tried to highlight some aspects of bilingual language development of children being brought up and educated in bilingual Czech/Slovak - German environment. |
