It methodologicaly stems from Barbara Klinger's essay Film History Terminable and Interminable: Recovering the Past in Reception Studies. The thesis Historical Reception of four historical comedies by Karel Steklý is trying to focus the era and the process of commencement in context as huge as reachable. It considers the historical era, when the Steklý's comedies originated, and it also describes the situation in Barrandov Film Studios at the end of 60's and at the beginning of normalization. The inherent part of receptional methods is the portrait of main artist's lifes and careers, portraits of Karel Steklý and Jan Procházka could be found in this thesis accordingly to this fact.
