Summary: | 1 Abstract This graduation thesis investigates the influence of anglicisms on information technologies in both German and Slovak language. The first, theoretical chapter gives definitions, classification, basic concepts and adaptation of anglicisms in both languages. In the second, practical chapter, the thesis analyses the English words in chosen German and Slovak texts, especially in terms of morphology, stylistics, semantics, orthography, word-building and lexicology. Finally, the results of the analysis are summarized and compared.
