Summary: | The goal of my thesis has been to find about high school students' intuitive conceptions of energy. I followed the previous studies made in the energy field and in terms of them my own research was carried out in the form of a test. The test contained 13 questions and 152 freshmen from six classes and 112 secondary school leavers from five classes participated in this. In questions I was concerned with the most frequent misconceptions. I compiled the results for each task into tables and illustrated in graphs as well. I compared the first and fourth classes' results to find out how effective schools were in replacing misconceptions with the correct knowledge. I was interested as well if there is some relationship between misconceptions and sex or marks of the interviewees. Next I compared classes to each other. At the end I mentioned the risk of neglected misconceptions in studying physics. |
