Summary:The doctoral thesis "Connection between education and labour market" is a reaction to changes on the national and international market which are also reflected by the changes of the character of work and requirements on labour force. It is the interest of the society and universities to prepare graduates in such educational programmes, whose contents meet the requirements of the labour market. The aim is to have graduates prepared for employment. A precondition on the fulfilment of this task is the cooperation of educational institutions with the labour market and firms. The connection of education and the labour market is also reflected in the documents of The Ministry of Education, which follow up with the policy of development of tertiary education in Europe in the framework of the Bologna process. Marketing access is used as a starting point for investigation of the followed problems at a theoretical level in chapter one. This access includes establishing contacts with the outer environment on the side of inputs and outputs, which enables the connection of educational institutions with the work environment.
