| Summary: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze the social services after the adoption of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. On social services. The first part outlined the historical development of social security in the Czech Republic, which resulted in the adoption of the aforementioned legislation. Its analytical work provides an interpretation of some basic concepts from the field and describes a set of legislative measures for social services in the Czech Republic. Further work continues the analysis of deficiencies and their causes in the social services. This analysis mainly concerns issues of accessibility, quality and financing of social services. Seeks not only the problems that are caused by the Act on Social Services, but also due to deficiencies practice. The work also includes a set of proposed measures to address selected issues, both for the statutory scheme, as well as practical measures. The research is focused on analyzing the social services in Karlovy Vary region, after the adoption of the Social Services Act. The result of analysis of data collected is to monitor the situation regarding the availability, quality and financing of services in this region, which is also accompanied by a proposal for concrete action for social services in the region of Karlovy Vary.
