Fresh view into this problematic has brough anthropological theory of invented tradition. The original yidaki from North East Arnhemland has gone through long journey to todays known instrument didjeridoo. The meaning of this instrument has change quite a lot and method of material culture has been applied to understand its real or multiple agency in our todays postmodern world. This work is based on five month stay in North East Arnhemland in surrounding region of Yirrkala and various interviews done in Europe. Essential part of this study is also participative observation on different locations. Literature research of topics dedicated to Arnhem Land realia has been done in London British Library, University College of London thanks to grand secured from Charles University.
