Description
Summary:In my graduation thesis I've researched how mountain bicycling in today's era is viewed in areas with increased level of nature protection. Subject of my interest are actors who influence form of this growing free time activity that takes place in protected landscape area of Krivoklatsko countryside. My thesis is based on theories of Social construction of nature and Actor-network theory. Based on these theories I could approach the researched area as a system of human and nonhuman actors that create junctions between nature and our society. With qualitative analysis of interviews and documents I've discovered actor's interests and their mutual connections. I've also participated in discussions about main topics of mountain bicycling in protected landscape areas: tracks and trails that cyclists benefit from. My findings are used for final conclusion about possible development in case of declaring Krivoklatsko as national reservation park.
