| Summary: | Diploma thesis "Influence of press agency ČTK on the domestic columns of Czech dailies" deals with influence of the press agency ČTK on the national dailies Hospodářské noviny, Lidové noviny, Právo and Mladá fronta Dnes, August and September 2008 were being analyzed. The Research used quantitative content analysis and describes the way, how editors work with the news from ČTK, how much space get the ČTK`s news in newspappers and how the journalists mention authorship while taking news from the press agency. This thesis also contains agenda-setting principles, gatekeeping theory, news values and sociology of sources as a theoretical base.
